This Geek

Things have been really weird the last few days. Especially when you’re cruising through life, wondering what’s coming next, when suddenly you get an unexpected message that confirms something that you’ve known for a few years already, but never really believed. Something that has the potential to utterly change the way that you have looked at life. Either way, if what I have had confirmed is true, or even if it’s not true, it will still change the way I look at things, and have looked at things in the past, because uncertainty will no longer be a factor.

It was my son’s 5th birthday party today (his birthday is tomorrow). What fun it was to have a house full of screaming 5 year olds — it was only for 2 hours. That theory of relativity is a funny thing. Those 2 hours felt like a lifetime. Yeesh! At least the jumping castle I organised kept them busy, and tired them out, good and proper.

I ordered ADSL from our monopolistic telephone company in mid March — It was installed this morning.

Not bad that, a 6 month wait.
